Hi, I’m Amanda Bouch. I decided to call my company Amanda Bouch Consulting so I could abbreviate it to ABC and have a strap line …. “Learning is easy with ABC!”
It may sound a little cheesy, but I do focus on working with you in a way that suits you, so that you do find the learning easy and you are inspired to make changes to become a great leader or manager.
As a management consultant and executive coach I have been working in learning and development for about 20 years, both as an employee and running ABC. I have experience of working with global organisations and local businesses, with government and non-profit organisations. Apart from UK, I have lived and worked in Germany and Kenya as well as short assignments around Europe and the Americas. This varied experience helps me to quickly understand your circumstances and appreciate the specifics of your environment, and I can bring my awareness of diversity to build your understanding.
I stay connected into L&D and follow leading thinkers to ensure that I can bring the most up-to-date understanding of what makes a difference, whilst at the same time maintaining a healthy questioning attitude to the latest ‘hot trends’. My aim is to ensure a practical approach that will work for you.
I could hardly ask you to learn and grow if I didn’t do that myself and over the years I’ve invested heavily in my knowledge and skills and maintain my continuous professional development to deepen and broaden my capabilities.

ABC Reason Why
When you look at those who are held up as great leaders, you will see that they do what they can to be the best they can be, rather than try to fit in. I think this is the key to effective leadership and I love that quote from Nelson Mandela’s inaugural speech:
“Your playing small does not serve the world. … as we let our light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” (Marianne Williamson)
This represents for me the step up to effective leadership and I work with clients to build their capability and confidence to let their light shine. I believe we have what it takes; you just need to believe in yourself. I love it when I get this kind of feedback:
“I’ve changed and I’m getting much better results. I’m taking a coaching approach and now team leaders are showing initiative and getting things done. The MD has even noticed how motivated the team are and commented on how relaxed I am.” Mark P, Operations Director
